Rooted in my background in fashion illustration, the Ballerina began as an early series of observational sketches exploring the beauty of movement, proportion and form. Inspired by the elegance and discipline of ballet, each artwork captures fleeting gestures with expressive, confident lines, allowing the energy of the dancer to emerge through simplicity rather than detail.
The influence of fashion illustration can be seen in the fluidity of the linework and the emphasis on silhouette, posture and grace. Rather than striving for realism, these pieces celebrate the emotion and rhythm of the figure, transforming quick studies into timeless works of art.
